2017 SECONDMENT TO UNION OFFICE

Members are invited to apply for a secondment to work in the union office in 2017.

The placement will be for either 26 weeks part time (two days a week- 20 hours) or for 13 weeks full time.

It may also be a shared position depending on who applies. In the past we have had such high calibre applicants it has been difficult to decide and a share arrangement has resulted.

SO ALL YOU BUDDING ORGANISERS, INDUSTRIAL OFFICERS AND UNION ACTIVISTS PLEASE PUT PEN TO PAPER AND THROW YOUR HAT IN THE RING.

We require a written application which should set out why you are interested in the secondment and what you would like to achieve. Please also tell us about yourself and what your involvement in union affairs has been and what you think unions can do for members.

This position is contained as an entitlement under Clause 66.8 of the AV Enterprise Agreement and has been in place for more than 14 years.
