Additional Christmas Day
Public Holiday

On 24 November 2016 the Victorian Government gazetted Christmas day, 25 December 2016, as an additional public holiday. This day is in additional to the public holiday scheduled for 27 December 2016.

The gazetted public holiday results in an additional 1.5 days holiday for full time operational paramedics and pro rata for part time staff.

AV advised the Union on 21 December 2016 that the additional 1.5 days holiday will be added to members Single Day Off (SDO) holiday balance.

Hopefully this will provide all members with greater flexibility and the opportunity to access single days off from work.
