Paramedic Work Value Case Enters Conciliatio

The Union and Ambulance Victoria has suspended the work value hearings in order for the parties to enter conciliation.

This is a huge result due to the absolutely phenomenal efforts of the Union witnesses who have been brilliant and unshakable.

Another consideration is that the unavailability of one of AV’s witnesses which would mean that the case would not be finalised until later in the year and the decision not until 2017.

The worksite inspections are on hold pending the outcome of conciliation.

Once again we extend our thanks and admiration to all of the Union witnesses. They have been fantastic and their efforts over the last twelve months incredible.

We also thank members who have turned out in great numbers to support their peers this week.

It sends such a strong message to the Fair Work Commission that paramedics are engaged and committed to this process.

The Union will keep members updated as to the progress of discussions.
