2015 Ambulance Victoria Enterprise Agreement Variation

As an outcome of the Paramedic Work Value Case the Fair Work Commission recommended extending the life of the 2015 Ambulance Victoria Enterprise Agreement (Agreement), due to expire on 31 December 2016, until 30 April 2019.

Ambulance Victoria and the Union have reached in-principle agreement on the variation to the Agreement.

The negotiations achieved the following improved wages and conditions for members:

  • 3% wage increase for paramedic and related classifications on 30 April 2017 and 30 April 2018
  • 25% wage increase for non-paramedic classifications on 30 April 2017 and 30 April 2018
  • Increase in the meal allowance for Ambulance Community Officers from $12.83 to $14.76
  • Increase to the Relievers Meal Allowance
  • Family Violence Leave
  • No Safe Job Leave as part of the maternity leave provisions
  • Keeping In Touch Days for members on parental leave
  • Increases to the following allowances:
    • Operational Crewing Allowance
    • Sessional Clinical Instructor Allowance
    • Living Away From Home Allowance
    • On Call Allowance
    • Incidental Expenses (cl 4.5 of Appendix 2)
  • New classifications including:
    • Motorcycle Responder Paramedic
    • Paramedic Community Support Coordinator Reliever
    • Paramedic Driving Standards Coordinator
    • Referral Service Team Leader
    • Referral Service Care Plan Coordinator

Members will have the opportunity to vote via email or telephone to accept the variation.

The Union will keep members updated as to when ballot papers will be sent.
