Graduate Single Responding

Recently a member raised concerns about a Graduate Paramedic being asked to single respond to cases. Following a post on the AEAVIC Members Facebook page, it appears that this has been occurring often across the State and in some cases Graduates have even been rostered to work alone.

The Union strongly opposes Graduate Paramedics being rostered as a single officer under any circumstances and have campaigned extensively against Graduates single responding.

Members are encouraged to notify the Union of any instances of Graduates being single responded and/or rostered as a single officer. Graduates should insist on being paired with a qualified partner and contact the AEAV for support if needed.
