PTSD Seminar

Recently our comrades at The Police Association Victoria (TPAV) extended an invitation to AEAV members to attend a series of seminars on the topic of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

The seminar is being conducted by Dr Gilmartin who is a world renowned psychologist who runs seminars and workshops on proactive and holistic coping strategies for stress, assisting with PTSD and providing tools to help deal with the emotional dangers that emergency services work entails.

His seminar dates and locations are:

Melbourne: Monday the 15th of Feb 9:00-13:00 & 13:45-17:45
Festival Hall 300 Dudley Street West Melbourne

Morwell: Tuesday the 16th of Feb 9:30-13:30
Kernot Hall corner of Princess Fwy and Monash Way Morwell

Ballarat: Wednesday the 17th of Feb 9:30-13:30
Wendouree Centre for Performing Arts 1220 Howit Street Wendouree

Shepparton: Thursday the 18th of Feb 9:30-13:30
Mercy Stadium, Notre Damme College, 139 Knight Street Shepparton

All the tickets are free for AEAV members and we are encouraging attendees to bring their partners as much of what Dr Gilmartin will discuss is designed to help with potential problems at home.

If members would like to attend it is essential to RSVP at rte@tpav.org.au and provide:

  • Name and AEAV membership number
  • Quantity of tickets
  • Preferred session.
