VALE Neil Chittenden

It is with sadness that we advise the passing of AEAV member Neil Chittenden.

The Executive of the AEA-V, on behalf of its members, wish to express their sincere sympathy to Neil’s children, his family, friends and colleagues.  Neil is survived by four children; Meredith (Nurse at the Alfred), Mel (Paramedic AV), Andrew (Radiographer Geelong Hospital) and David (Flight Paramedic AV).

Neil was a Paramedic and a founding member and staunch supporter of the AEAV.  He started his 43 year career in Leongatha in 1974. Then moved to Seymour as second officer in 1975. He was promoted to Station Officer in 1981 when Bill Gasket retired.  After many years as a Station Officer Neil progressed to a Senior Team Manager.

As a Team Manager Neil was very fair, organised and supportive.  He was very devoted, respected and well liked in the Seymour community.  He volunteered and worked with the local SES and St John.

Neil was always there when needed for work and as a friend. He will be greatly missed.

Now at rest with his late wife Lesley.
