Rumours Rural SRUs Converting To PRUs

Many Rural MICA members have expressed concerns about rumours being circulated about AV intending to convert rural SRUs to PRUs.

It is clear that AV have done modelling on a range of response models to improve response times.  This modelling has included a PRU model.

AV have not consulted with or shared any modelling with the Union.

The implementation of the Rural SRUs was as an outcome of Government election promises.

Any change to the Rural SRU model would have to be endorsed by Government.

The Union will raise its concerns directly to AV and Government.
