In July the AEAV wrote to St John Ambulance management to ask them to come to the table and negotiate an Enterprise Agreement with our members.
Steven Horton, CEO of St John Ambulance has refused our request and is actively preventing St John Ambulance employees from exercising their right to participate in the negotiation of their wages and working conditions.
The AEAV remain committed to bargaining in good faith with St John Ambulance management to secure better wages and working conditions for our members. We have now written a second time to request that they meet with us to commence bargaining.
If they refuse again, the AEAV will be taking the matter to the Fair Work Commission for a Majority Support Determination, compelling St John Ambulance to negotiate with our members.
