VALE

Peter “Princey” Phillips

It is with deep sadness that we advise of the sudden passing of long term AEAV Member Peter “Princey” Phillips.

Peter started his ambulance career at Leongatha in 1980. He worked at a number of branches in Gippsland and later took up the role of Senior Operations Officer – Logistics before becoming the Senior Team Manager at Wonthaggi Branch. In 2013 he retired although he remained a casual paramedic.

Peter is remembered by his colleagues as being a genuine lovely man who looked after others. He also drove some major improvements to leave rostering.

The Executive of the AEA-V, on behalf of its members, wish to express their sincere sympathy to Peter’s wife, children, family, friends and colleagues.

We also extend our thoughts to the ALS and MICA Crews from Cowes and Wonthaggi who fought valiantly to save Peter.

He will be sadly missed.
